Commentary on web design and other topics by Guy Leech, web fanatic.
Well, I haven’t died, though this blog certainly has. Nevertheless, I will now summarize the last few months of glorious adventuring.
The trip to Europe was fantastic. England I’m not such a fan of—too much rain, too much green grass—however, France was wickid. Speaking French was great, even if I don’t do it well, and all my French cousins were heaps of fun. I’m quite looking forward to going back soon.
So after that all wound down, I found myself back in the land of the kangaroo, looking for a job. Luckily, I’d been doing some work with Westciv, and so they were happy to take me on full time. So I’m now happily working away on various projects related to the web, for a wiki to managing the various Web Directions sites.
In more minor news, I’m still studying French, and have taken up indoor soccer (as a goalie). It’s something I used to do in high-school, but haven’t been doing it for a while because of my terrible vision. I managed to rouse myself from complacently though, and armed with a set on contact lenses have been enjoying throwing myself in the way of fast-moving balls.
I’m also planning to move down to Sydney, though it appears to be quite hard to find a decent place down there. Basically, every man and their mother is looking for a house, which means the chances of getting one are fairly low. But I shall persevere!
As for this site, the work page images arn’t working (oh the irony), but I’ll try and get that fixed up soon. I’m also planning a fairly major change to the site, so that I don’t have to write at all (I’m a lazy man at heart). That will take a fair while to get happening though, but it should be good.
And that’s it from me; you may now know more than you ever wanted to know about me, but hey, it’s all good.
